Technology Management covers technology location (finding the appropriate item of technology to solve a particular problem), technology exploitation (finding uses for new technology), and the technology management of research programmes.
Sollerta offers services in these three areas, based on expertise gained in establishing technology parks and also in applied research. Sollerta has established a methodology to enable collaboration in technology research to be carried out without jeopardising Intellectual Property Rights of the various parties. Sollerta’s approach to technology management is based on setting an agreed end point with well defined milestones to be achieved. Both end point and milestones are defined by clear achievement criteria. Because of the nature of research, our approach also requires regular consultation with the customer to ensure that there are no surprises - or changes to the requirements - as the programme unfolds.
Sollerta offers a tender evaluation service at a variety of levels. For example for organisations or public bodies running large projects we can provide advice on setting up a rigorous auditable tender evaluation scheme to ensure best value for money, with acceptable risk. With recent EU procurement directives, tender evaluation is becoming an increasingly risky area for public bodies and we have the knowledge and expertise to help avoid the pitfalls. Sollerta also has the capability to set up and manage the whole process if required by a client.
Alternatively our consultants are available to participate in existing evaluation processes as independent members of a panel, making full use of both their domain and project management expertise.
We also assist organisations bidding for this type of contract to enable them to understand more clearly how their tenders will be evaluated and how to take account of this in framing their proposals.
